Rosie's three plans cost $49, $149 and $299 a month. Smith.ai's Free tier is $0, Pro runs $150, $270 or $500 by call volume, and Enterprise is $800 for 500 calls. Smith.ai prints no annual price for its AI plans.

A worked example, as arithmetic and not a saving: assume 3 minutes a call. At 40 calls (120 minutes), Rosie is $49 and Smith.ai is $45, from 25 free calls plus 15 at $3.00. At 100 calls (300 minutes), Rosie's terms put the account on Scale at $149, and Smith.ai Pro is $212.50, from $150 plus 25 calls at $2.50. At 300 calls (900 minutes), Rosie Scale is $149 and Smith.ai is $500.

Smith.ai's AI counts every answered call toward the quota by default, with an allowance to remove up to 10% for selected spam.

Booking, transfers and BAAs on Rosie and Smith.ai

Rosie Professional texts a booking link. Calendar booking in Google Calendar or Calendly, plus warm and live transfers, starts on Scale. Smith.ai says its Live Agent Network of 500+ North America-based receptionists is available as a per-call add-on.

Rosie says it can run for overflow or after hours only, through conditional call forwarding. Rosie's terms put the duty on the covered entity to execute a HIPAA BAA with Rosie. Rosie's FAQ gives every plan a 7-day free trial that can be canceled before it ends at no charge, and its terms make payments nonrefundable.

Smith.ai's free tier is a plan, not a trial. The AI Receptionist is month to month, and canceling needs 30 days' notice. The 30-day money-back guarantee sits on Smith.ai's human-receptionist plans page, and the AI page carries no money-back line.
