Minutes, calls or customers: what the unit does to your bill

Rosie rounds each call up to the next 60 seconds. Dialzara counts talk time to the second. Goodcall counts unique customers, where one phone number counts once a month, and never meters minutes. Upfirst and Smith.ai count calls, and Upfirst skips calls under 15 seconds or where the caller never speaks.

My AI Front Desk counts voice minutes: 200 included, then 25 credits ($0.25) each from a monthly pool of 1,000 credits, where a credit is one cent. Its pricing page does not say whether a voice minute is rounded up, so a cost per call cannot be read from it. See My AI Front Desk pricing for the plan.

Costs outside the monthly plan

Dialzara's plan cards list a phone number as included, while its FAQ prices local numbers at $3 a month, so confirm which applies. Its AI SMS agent is $19 a month plus $0.05 per AI message. Tax may be added to My AI Front Desk's subscription fee, and auto-reload adds 1,000 credits for $10. Smith.ai's human plans charge $1.50 a call to book appointments.

What a low call count costs on these seven services

For fewer than 25 calls a month, Smith.ai's free tier is the lowest price here, at $0. Upfirst Starter is $24.95 for 30 calls, then $1.50 a call.

Human services cost more: Ruby starts at $250 for 50 receptionist minutes, and Smith.ai's human Starter plan is $300 for 30 calls. The answering service cost guide covers them, and best AI receptionist picks by buyer.

Pick My AI Front Desk when one plan at $99 a month, billed monthly, should cover voice, 400 SMS and 100 chatbot conversations. Pick Upfirst or Dialzara for the lowest paid entry plans here, Rosie for 250 minutes at $49, Goodcall when the same callers ring again, and Smith.ai's free tier for fewer than 25 calls a month.

Upfirst, Dialzara, Rosie, NextPhone and My AI Front Desk list a free trial. My AI Front Desk's pricing page offers a 7-day free trial, and its terms say usage fees still apply during it and that the subscription then starts automatically, charging the payment method you provided, so read the sign-up screen for card details.
