My AI Front Desk alternatives at a glance

Six My AI Front Desk alternatives with public monthly prices are Upfirst, Dialzara, Rosie, Goodcall, Smith.ai's AI Receptionist and NextPhone, and four of them have a paid plan below My AI Front Desk's $99 a month, billed monthly, as read on October 23, 2026.

That $99 buys Business-in-a-Box, its one self-serve plan, with 200 voice minutes. The six count different things, so the table has a column for the unit: calls, minutes, unique customers or a flat rate. It is sorted by the lowest paid plan.

Upfirst and Dialzara: lower entry prices

Upfirst Starter is $24.95 a month for 30 calls, then $1.50 per additional call. Upfirst does not bill calls under 15 seconds or calls where the caller never speaks, and each additional agent costs $9.95 a month.

Dialzara Business Lite is $29 a month for up to 60 talk minutes, then $0.48 a minute, tracked to the second. Lite has blind transfer only, and at zero minutes callers go to voicemail. Warm transfers start on Pro at $99 for 220 minutes. Its plan cards list a US number as included, while its FAQ prices local numbers at $3 a month, so ask which applies.

Rosie and Goodcall: minutes or customers

Rosie Professional is $49 a month for 250 minutes and texts a booking link. Calendar booking starts on Scale. Rosie also sells website texting as an add-on at $50 a month for 25 conversations, with $1 for each extra one.

Goodcall Starter is $79 a month for 100 unique customers, which Goodcall puts at about 150 calls, then 79 cents per extra customer. A unique customer is one phone number, once a month, and Goodcall never meters minutes. Every plan includes a local number.

Smith.ai and NextPhone: live help or a flat rate

Smith.ai's AI Receptionist has a free tier of 25 calls a month and Pro at $150 for 75 calls. Smith.ai says live agents from its Live Agent Network are available as a per-call add-on.

NextPhone Pro is $199 a month and, in its words, has unlimited calls with no per-minute charges or overage. On Pro you set it up yourself; Growth is $299 and NextPhone sets it up for you. Its terms say NextPhone does not offer or execute BAAs.

When My AI Front Desk is still the better fit

My AI Front Desk sells one self-serve plan, $99 a month billed monthly or $79 a month billed annually, sized for 1 to 10 interactions a day, a unit the vendor does not define. Five of these six list a lower monthly entry price or a free tier, and extra voice minutes here cost 25 credits ($0.25) each after the first 200.

It fits when voice, texts and chat belong in one plan: 400 SMS, 100 chatbot conversations and Zapier are included, and Hot Transfer, which adds a spoken summary for whoever picks up, is in the help center. Its small-business page says no setup fees. Its pricing page offers a "7-day free trial", and the terms say usage fees still apply during it.

  • Pick Upfirst or Dialzara for a lower entry price.
  • Pick Rosie for 250 minutes at $49.
  • Pick Goodcall to pay per unique customer.
  • Pick Smith.ai for live help, or NextPhone for a flat rate.
  • Pick My AI Front Desk for voice, texts and chat together.
